Customer Care And Aftersales (Cc&A) Logistics Data Science Leader

Join the Customer Care and Aftersales (CC&A) Logistics team as a strategic leader driving data science initiatives across the Global Logistics and Containers Organization. You'll lead a team of analytics professionals focused on logistics systems management, advanced analytics, systems integration, and budget support. This role blends leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen to deliver scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. You'll serve as a key liaison across Operations, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Sales, Purchasing, GM IT, third-party vendors, and customerstranslating complex data into actionable insights and leading high-impact projects. Responsibilities: Data Strategy & Analytics Leadership Architect and execute analytics strategies that optimize logistics performance and customer delivery Lead initiatives to improve system integration, dealer visibility, and dealer-to-dealer transactions Define and implement best practices for scalable, high-quality executive dashboards and visualizations Technical Execution Retrieve, integrate, and analyze large datasets from diverse systems using SQL, Databricks, Power BI, and other modern data platforms. Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover trends, forecast outcomes, and support decision-making Develop and maintain reporting tools that support financial performance management and operational planning Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver rapid analytics solutions Translate business needs into technical requirements and communicate insights through compelling data storytelling Collaborate with IT and business leaders to scope future projects and align on execution plans Team Leadership Supervise and mentor a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement Prioritize team workload and ensure timely delivery of strategic projects and ad hoc requests This job may be eligible for relocation benefits. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience 5+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in Purchasing, Warehousing/Operations, Supply chain, or Logistics Database: strong proficiency in SQL, Cloud (Databricks), Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Knime, or ETL Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint 10% travel to GM locations is required What Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related advanced degree a plus Data Transformation: Understanding of data manipulation and transformation techniques Business Intelligence: Power BI preferred, Tableau/Cognos a plus Understanding of Mainframe & WMS Systems Automotive service and parts experience Customer and, or Dealer contact interface experience People Leader Experience GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
