Student Involvement Coordinator

The Student Involvement Coordinator supervises the Marauders Activities Committee, manages the University's student organization program, and assists in the execution of major University programs such as Homecoming and Welcome Week. The Student Involvement Coordinator also oversees student recreation and wellness, ensuring programs such as intramurals and locations such as the Fieldhouse and the rock wall provide opportunities for students to build meaningful friendships while being formed in mind and body. Provides supervision and mentoring to the Marauders Activities Committee, the University's primary student programming body, and leads them to create formative programs on campus. Provides supervision and mentoring for the Recreation and Wellness Coordinator, and ensures the University's recreation and wellness program is formative, engaging, creative, and includes but is not limited to: Rec Crew Intramurals Tournaments (e.g., pool, spikeball) One-time events (e.g., Dodge for a Cause, YRC camping trip) Well maintained and managed facilities (e.g., rock wall, golf simulator) Develops and supports a vibrant student organization program, supporting students in their establishment and cultivation of student organizations. Collaborates with Marauders Athletics regarding the scheduling of the Fieldhouse and other shared spaces, striving to ensure they are open to all students as much as possible. Assists the Director of Student Life in the coordination of student employee leadership formation and major student events such as the Leadership Awards Ceremony and Homecoming Coronation. Serves on various committees and task forces as assigned including the Welcome Week Committee, Homecoming Committee, and the Student Development Council. Manages, updates, and publishes relevant policies and procedures for student organizations and student recreation and wellness. Manages the Student Involvement Center and ensures the physical space provides a warmth of welcome to all who enter. Serves as a resource for student inquiries in the Student Involvement Center and develops knowledge of and relationships with campus partners. Desired Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience Include:

Required: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. Preferred: Preference will be given to applicants with a master's degree in higher educational leadership, student affairs, business, marketing, or another field closely related to the position responsibilities. Certification or the ability to be certified to work with the University's rock wall is also preferred. Required: Experience in planning, coordinating, marketing, and assessing successful, innovative, and mission-centric programs is required. Experience as a student who has helped execute programs on a college campus will count toward this requirement. Preferred: Preference will be given to applicants with two years of experience planning, coordinating, marketing, and assessing successful, innovative programs. Experience with student activities and student organizations in a higher education environment is preferred. Upholds and supports the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary. Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities. Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the Office of Student Development and throughout the university, in accord with Saint Benedict's admonition that all be received as Christ. Knowledge and Skills Required:

Understanding of the relationship between the University of Mary's Christian, Catholic and Benedictine mission, identity and values and the leadership needed for a vibrant student activities program as a key component of the university's student culture. Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and coordinate a variety of creative and effective activities and programs for students. Ability to assess and evaluate program effectiveness and to implement a plan for continuous improvement of the program. About the University of Mary
