Phlebotomist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood from patients for medical testing. The ideal candidate will have excellent patient interaction skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of safety and infection control procedures. Key responsibilities include: Drawing blood from patients of all ages using venipuncture, fingersticks, or heelsticks. Properly labeling and storing collected specimens for laboratory analysis. Verifying patient information and maintaining accurate records. Explaining procedures to patients and helping them feel at ease during blood collection. Ensuring proper handling and transportation of specimens to the laboratory. Following infection control and safety protocols to prevent contamination. Maintaining and sanitizing equipment and work areas. Assisting with specimen processing and handling when needed. Adhering to HIPAA and other healthcare regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Work environment includes: Hospitals, clinics, laboratories, blood donation centers, or physician's offices. May involve standing for extended periods and exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
