A subject matter expert on a range of issues related to engagements with Meta's most strategic partners, relevant legal issues and the regulatory and competitive ecosystem, focusing support on company priorities. A clear communicator and effective collaborator across all levels of the business across functions, including executive and C-suite, to advance mission critical initiatives involving Meta's most strategic partners. Have a solid understanding of commercial technology transactions and strategic engagements. Hold technology transaction execution responsibilities (including contract drafting, negotiation, and strategy development) for Meta's partnerships, business development, product, and engineering teams. Provide practical and effective risk mitigation strategies across technology product platforms as well as strategic business and legal advice to ensure consistent and durable approach for relationships with Meta's most strategic partners. Independently prioritize and manage simultaneous legal matters under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment. Administer and resolve legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships. Provide commercial transaction support for other departments as required. Minimum Qualifications
Requires a J.D. degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Law or related field and 5 years of work experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience with internet or technology companies. Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar. Requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following skills: Experience counseling and advising clients on risk mitigation strategies for technology products and transactions involving technology companies. Negotiating, and executing complex transactions with technology, media, and telecommunications companies. Leading cross-functional collaborations, including executive and C-suite, to counsel on risk mitigation strategies and provide legal advice informed by sound business judgment for pivotal transactions. Maintaining subject matter expertise in competition regulations and commercial & corporate transactions. Working proactively, independently and reliably on multiple projects under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment. $312,914/year to $325,431/year + bonus + equity + benefits Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
