Job Summary: The Assistant Division Director plays a critical leadership role in supporting the administration, development, and performance oversight of assigned behavioral health programs. This position provides direct supervision to program directors, supervisors, and clinical and non-clinical staff as needed. The role includes on-site leadership presence, after-hours coverage, and active representation of the agency within the community.
Key responsibilities include assisting in strategic planning, program development, and the evaluation of services to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Assistant Division Director supports compliance with all relevant HR, performance improvement (PI), budgetary, and contract requirements, and monitors program performance using data and outcome measures.
This position also plays an essential role in quality improvement efforts across programs, including monitoring levels of service, quality assurance (QA) outcomes, and clinical and operational performance indicators. The ideal candidate demonstrates the knowledge and competencies to support age-appropriate, person-centered care across diverse populations and service lines.
Hours:
This is a full-time position which includes the following benefits:

Qualifications: Master's degree in a behavioral health discipline required Active clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCADC) Minimum of five years of post-master's clinical experience, including supervisory experience Meets the qualifications to serve as a
Facility Administrator under NJAC 10:161B , including demonstrated experience in the delivery and oversight of both
mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with state licensure, regulatory, and contractual standards Strong knowledge of integrated care models, quality assurance, and outcome-based service delivery
