Medical Assistant
The position functions as a Medical Assistant in the Cardiology department, where you will prepare and maintain exam rooms, manage charts, obtain reports and records, assist with patient flow, and ensure the smooth running of the clinical office. Interact directly with patients in a clinic setting, completing clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs and verifying medications. Prepare for office hours by obtaining charts, scheduling tests, and preparing exam rooms. Proficiency in medical assisting. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from an approved organization such as the NHA. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Two years or more of Medical Assistant experience is preferred. Experience with electronic medical records. Interactive communication skills with the ability to work with physicians, patients, families, significant others, and support staff. The role is based in the Cardiology Heart and Vascular department, operating Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break. You will work within a team-oriented environment, ensuring comprehensive patient care and support. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
