The Opportunity:
We're hiring a
Sr. Quality Engineer
to join our Quality team. This role is a key contributor to ensuring product and process quality throughout the development lifecycle and into production. You'll lead quality initiatives, mentor others, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
Key responsibilities may include: Lead and mentor quality engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to promote a strong quality culture Develop, improve, and maintain quality systems, inspection plans, and training documentation Manage QMS audits and corrective actions using 8D and root cause analysis methodologies Oversee Material Review Board (MRB) activities and manage containment of nonconforming product Track and report quality metrics (e.g., scrap, rework, warranty) and identify opportunities for cost reduction Support APQP deliverables, participate in design reviews, and ensure quality is integrated early in development Lead qualification of tools, processes, and production lines using MSA, DOE, and other statistical tools Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering to manage supplier quality and resolve supplier issues Drive Lean and Kaizen initiatives to improve process stability and operational documentation Maintain quality records and documentation in compliance with internal and regulatory standards
What You Bring:
We're looking for someone who has: Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related Science field 1-3 years of relevant quality experience in a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience with ISO/IATF QMS, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D problem solving Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 standards Proficiency in statistical analysis and application of quality tools and methods Training or certification in Lean Manufacturing methodologies Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and cross-functional communication skills Preferred: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor (CQA) Preferred: Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification or equivalent training
