Ocean Export Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and computer-savvy Ocean Export Coordinator to join our team, supporting one of our largest clients with over 20,000 annual shipments. This role is dedicated exclusively to managing this client's export operations, ensuring the timely and accurate movement of freight and documentation while delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
Shipment Management: Approve shipments for delivery to destination. Monitor and manage cargo post-sailing from the port of origin. Track and trace ocean export files using internal systems and tools. Utilize the Global Ocean Export Monitor daily. Documentation & Data Entry: Handle extensive documentation for each assigned shipment. Ensure timely and accurate data entry for shipments, departures, arrivals, cargo details, and deliveries. Maintain compliance with country-specific export policies and regulations. Prepare and send shipping notices and documents to overseas offices and customers. Customer & Vendor Interaction: Coordinate international shipments in line with customer service standards. Maintain strong relationships with carriers, trucking companies, and other logistics partners. Respond to internal and external communications promptly and professionally. Escalate issues to management when necessary. Systems & Tools: Use Excel to receive daily workload and track shipments. Ensure accurate billing for clients and vendors. Maintain and update customer SOPs in accordance with operational standards. Compliance & Training: Adhere to internal and external regulatory requirements. Promote integrity and compliance with company policies. Complete mandatory training and meet the company's annual training standard of 52 hours. Uphold cultural attributes: Appearance, Attitude, Confidence, Curiosity, Excellence, Integrity, Pride, Resolute, Sense of Humor, and Visionary. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or military veteran status (highly preferred). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Typing speed of 35+ WPM with high accuracy (typing test required). Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective interpersonal and organizational skills. Eagerness to learn and grow within the company. Preferred Knowledge & Certifications: Familiarity with ocean export documentation processes. Hazardous Materials certification (preferred but not required). Understanding of products and services. Experience Level
Intermediate
prior experience in logistics or export operations is beneficial but not required. Training will be provided. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
