Referral Specialist
Saint Luke's Cardiovascular Consultants is seeking a Referral Specialist to join our team. You will work to ensure patient confidentiality in all instances, while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct. This is a remote position, but must be located in the Kansas City Metro. Shift Details: Monday- Friday Full Time Referral Specialist Responsibilities:
The Referral Specialist obtains pre-certification or prior authorization for medical procedures, imaging, tests, and surgeries as required by insurance and prior to the scheduled date for both physician and facility. Shift Details: Monday - Friday, 8:00am -4:30pm Responsibilities: Completing pre-certification or prior authorizations as required by insurance, Navigating payor websites Documenting authorization status, and communicating with patients or other health system departments. The Precertification Specialist routinely interacts and collaborates with physicians, clinicians, other departmental staff and payor representatives to gather and submit required authorization information.
