Slot Floor Technician
Pay Rate: $22.50 an hour Essential Duties And Responsibilities Handle machine related customer issues promptly Install, move, test, repair and maintain slot and electronic/electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems Review, interpret and verify slot pay tables, settings and jackpots of pre-established amounts Troubleshoot and repair slots and associated player tracking system to minimize down time and maximize profitability of the gaming operation Independently and/or cooperatively perform advanced tasks including but not limited to RAM clears, setup and configuration of software, progressive system(s) hardware and software installation, configuration and troubleshooting Assist in the ongoing training and development of other team members Maintain security of company assets Perform assigned tasks in compliance with applicable regulations Knowledge And Certification, Skills And Abilities Required Knowledge and Certification: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience 1 year of electronic troubleshooting or computer repair Preferred Knowledge and Certification: 2 year technical degree or 2 years equivalent experience 2 years mechanical and electromechanical systems experience Required Skills: Accurate and detail-oriented Strong organizational skills Proficient computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills Strong mechanical aptitude Preferred Skills: Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools and electrical/electronic test equipment Proven soldering skills Required Abilities: Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner Ability to independently or as a team complete multiple tasks in a professional manner Ability to serve both internal and external customers Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipment Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities Preferred Abilities: Proven ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and identify electronic components Physical Demands Must be able to walk and/or stand and sit for long periods throughout the day Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoop Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds occasionally Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate electronic equipment Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions Must have good eye hand coordination Working Environment Slot Technician shop, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals High volume direct public contact Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
