Wilmington, NC - Onsite Company Overview: TransTech Energy is a leading provider of engineered equipment solutions for processing, storing, distributing, and utilizing a wide variety of liquids and gases in the energy, renewables, chemical, and industrial end markets. Job Summary: TransTech is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Management Intern to support our project management team. This internship provides hands-on experience in managing small to medium-sized projects, collaborating across departments, and contributing to process improvements. The ideal candidate will gain exposure to real-world project execution while developing professional skills in communication, organization, and cross-functional teamwork. Tasks and Responsibilities Display proper knowledge of TransTech’s products and services to support project execution. Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients to establish and sustain positive rapport. Provide regular feedback on internal processes and tools to support continuous improvement. Assist in formulating new proposal templates for small to medium-sized projects. Support the project management team with daily operational functions. Manage portions of projects from kickoff to closeout, including:
Maintaining accurate data and project status in Smartsheet. Confirming parts are correct and purchased. Scheduling and coordinating resources. Assisting with invoicing and documentation. Supporting project completion and reporting.
Communicate regularly and consistently with customers regarding project status, where applicable. Develop professional relationships across departments including field service, finance, purchasing, sales, engineering, and executive leadership. Fully utilize CRM, ERP, and project management tools to support project tracking and reporting. Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the project management team. Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external clients. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Professionalism and customer service orientation. Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. Previous internship or coursework related to project management is a plus. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is desirable but not required.
