Job Summary and Objectives: The Material Handler is a person who has been assigned to utilize the ERP system for accurate material movement transactions and the physical delivery components, materials or supplies to the various manufacturing cells within the value stream. The position may also support shipping and receiving as required and will participate in cycle count activities when needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Delivers components to the production line to keep the production lines continuously moving Perform accurate, contemporaneous transactions in our ERP system Must understand the lean concept and importance of pace Must have the ability to see, report and correct abnormalities in inventory Count inventory on all production lines including clean room lines Make sure items are moved physically and electronically with accuracy as component count and lot number control is critical Participate in cycle count activities as needed Support shipping and receiving processes as needed Escalate issues quickly Look for ways to continuously improve processes Required Qualifications and Work Experience: High school diploma or equivalent 0-2 years’ field experience Must be able to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and other material equipment Ability to learn ERP system and process basic transactions. Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Must be neat and organized Basic computer skills Preferred Qualifications and Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Operations or related field Knowledge of and experience using IQMS or equivalent ERP system Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry Experience in contract manufacturing Physical Demands: Full range of motion for wrist, hand, and finger dexterity. Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Ability to regularly lift/push/carry on average 30 pounds and at times up to 45 pounds.
On-Site/Remote Attendance:
This position requires 100% on-site attendance.
Regular Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
