Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with weekend overtime availability as needed. Competitive Pay:
Start at $20/hr and participate in our 4% annual bonus program. Main Focus
:
Safely receive raw materials, packaging, and supplies. Preserve safety and quality of stock through proper handling and storage practices. Accurately prepare orders for shipment and safely load delivery trucks.
Accountabilities :
Safely handle raw materials, finished goods and visiting drivers. Keep stock fresh and packaging intact. Keep warehouses neat, clean, and orderly. Accurately prepare and ship customer orders. Keep inventory transactions accurate. Responsibilities :
Participate in safety meetings and safety training functions. Complete all required on-line training lessons. Verify material being delivered is what we ordered and is within specification. Check purchase orders in SAP and compare to shipping documents and package labels. Verify quantity received. Sample inbound raw materials according to procedures. Explain company rules to visiting drivers and monitor their behavior while in our plant. Safely unload tankers, trucks, and trailers according to company procedures. Safely operate lift trucks and other material-handling equipment. Place all materials received or manufactured into the correct bulk tank, warehouse, trailer, or other storage area according to procedures. Monitor and log temperatures of cold storage trailers and maintain adequate fuel levels for their refrigeration units. Rotate stock to keep it fresh, practice FIFO (first in first out) to prevent exceeding shelf life. Report damaged packaging and repackage as required. Maintain good housekeeping by sweeping, straightening, picking up trash and preventing clutter. Cleanup spills and arrange for proper storage or disposal of spilled material. Follow written procedures for preparing and shipping customer orders. Operate bar-code scanning equipment. Perform accuracy checks to verify correct preparation of customer orders for co-workers. Safely load delivery trucks and verify that the correct quantities and materials are loaded. Ensure that cargo is properly secured in common carrier trucks. Secure cargo loaded in overseas containers or dedicated trailers to prevent movement during transport. Operate refrigeration equipment on trailers, overseas containers, and tankers. Verify quantities received and shipped. Complete all forms, receiving and shipping paperwork and SAP transactions accurately. Perform cycle counts and participate in various inventory control activities. Assist with internal and external audits. Support ISO 9001, 14001, and Responsible Care Programs Other activities as directed by management. Requirements :
Must be able to qualify for a company issued forklift license Must meet fit to work policy Ability to work weekends, holidays, and OT Must have basic math skills Be able to lift 55 pounds on a regular basis, at times be able to lift 110 pounds, be able to exert 100 pounds of force occasionally Pass employment physical including ability to stand, overhead reach, walk, push, stoop, climb, crouch, kneel, pull, hear, talk, see, grasp, sit, lift and carry Must be able to use hand tools for changing fittings on tankers Must be able to distinguish color High school degree or GED Fluent in English– reading and writing Ability to wear a respirator and other PPE
