Coho Integrated Solutions is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented

Medical Appointment Clerk

to support patient scheduling and clinic operations at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. This role is responsible for booking medical appointments, validating patient eligibility, maintaining accurate schedules, and ensuring patients receive timely access to care in accordance with Military Treatment Facility (MTF) guidelines. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Schedule medical appointments via phone, secure messaging, or other approved request methods, ensuring compliance with local appointing guidelines and access-to-care standards. Maintain appointment schedules using government medical systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, or MHS GENESIS. Validate patient eligibility through the Defense Eligibility Enrollment System (DEERS) and update demographic information; register new patients, including newborns, as needed. Keep patient schedules and logs accurate and up to date, using system tools and protocols (detail codes, freezing slots, TRICARE Online) for slot management, rescheduling, and cancellations. Contact patients via phone or secure messaging to schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as needed. Assist in preparing patient notifications for appointment reminders, no-shows, and cancellations. Create and deliver telephone messages (t-cons) to Primary Care Managers (PCMs) and clinic nurses in accordance with standard protocols and clinic guidelines. Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements: Education:

High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.

Certifications:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
