Job Summary: The Tool Crib Operator will assemble manufactured products and pack them according to specifications.
Required Skills / Abilities: Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. Computer skills with Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Shipping and Receiving. Detail-oriented and consistent. Works well as a productive team member. Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment. Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
Duties / Responsibilities: Assembles components, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, and more according to directions. Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications. Uses various powered and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks. Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production and product inconsistencies. Maintains equipment and performs basic repairs when needed. Checks products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts the manager. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards. Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed. May also assist in physical inventory.
