Quality Control Analyst I (Modifications Team) Full time; Non-Exempt; XX hours/week; Overtime as required. Location; Lake Zurich, IL, US

General Description:
Uses multiple sources to collect data, analyzes trends, reconciles data, and identifies areas of improvement. Responsible for assisting with loan level reporting to outside companies, partners, and government agencies. Applies proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate loan servicing processes through careful testing to maximize the benefits of company initiatives. Performance must comply with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
Essential Functions and Duties:
• Responsible for ensuring that servicing meets quality control standards in accordance with investor, insurer, regulatory and bank requirements and/or guidelines. • Perform comprehensive quality control audits of loan subservicing operations for adherence to investor/insurer guidelines and applicable regulations. • Able to determine if findings are valid using predetermined templates and personal understanding of department goals. • Review and prepare completion of audit files and timelines as assigned. • Communicate discrepancies found during QC process and work toward correcting illogical findings. • Perform reporting reconciliations. • Prepare, maintain, and provide weekly and monthly Quality reports. • Assist in planning, testing, and reporting phases of departmental quality initiatives. • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with other employees and maintain those relationships over time. • Willingness to learn new skills and expand job knowledge, through various learning programs, as assigned by leadership. • Review and prepare department information to perform accurate audits. • Maintain and update assigned audits. • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the department policies and procedures to complete accurate audits. • Identify process improvement opportunities within the department. • Assess and interact with Vendors. • Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent. • 1+ years of Mortgage Servicing or similar experience. • Experience with creating or implementing quality monitoring procedures. • Experience performing root cause analyses. • PC skills: Proficient with Microsoft applications, database analysis, and query software. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences, including the ability to explain complex matters in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred/Other Qualifications: • Working knowledge of all aspects of mortgage servicing processes and applicable regulations. • Experience with MSP.
