Job Description Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 Job Title: Math Teacher Reports To: Principal / Department Head FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary: The Math Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing mathematics instruction that engages students and fosters a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. This role includes creating an inclusive learning environment, differentiating instruction to meet diverse needs, and helping students develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines. Teach mathematics concepts ranging from [specify levele.g., basic arithmetic to
algebra/geometry/calculus]
depending on grade level. Use a variety of instructional strategies, including hands-on activities, technology integration, and collaborative learning. Assess and track student progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects. Provide targeted support and enrichment opportunities for students at different learning levels. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and academic concerns. Maintain a positive, respectful, and organized classroom environment. Participate in professional development, department meetings, and school-wide initiatives. Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and instructional practices. Uphold all school policies, state regulations, and professional standards. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Masters preferred). Valid state teaching license or certification in mathematics. Strong knowledge of math content and instructional best practices. Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching [specific grade level or math subjects]. Familiarity with educational technology and math learning platforms. Training in differentiated instruction and data-driven teaching. Working Conditions School-based setting following the academic calendar. May require occasional evening or weekend commitments for events or tutoring.
