JOB SUMMARY The Director of Marketing leads the strategic direction, execution, and oversight of all marketing initiatives for Metiri. This role is responsible for managing multiple third-party marketing firms, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and operational needs. The Marketing Director will oversee brand positioning, content strategy, SME branding, and campaign prioritization. They will also manage marketing budgets and contracts, create scalable, tactical collateral solutions, and act as a steward for the company’s mission, vision, and values across all external-facing communication channels.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Third-Party Marketing Firm Oversight Manage relationships and deliverables of contracted marketing agencies. Review and prioritize project scopes across brand revitalization, account-based marketing (ABM), email automation, and digital campaigns. Evaluate agency performance and ensure alignment with KPIs, timelines, and strategic objectives Strategic Marketing Leadership Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns, brand promotion, and digital initiatives. Coordinate the development of the website refresh, content marketing calendar, and social media management across platforms. Collaborate with agency partners to drive PR and media relations, crisis communication response, and thought leadership initiatives. M&A Tactical Integration Support post-acquisition brand, marketing, and communication integration plans for newly acquired companies. Lead rebranding initiatives, asset alignment, and communication strategies to ensure a seamless transition for clients and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with integration teams to ensure consistency in messaging, digital presence, and marketing materials. Identify and resolve potential gaps or conflicts in brand positioning and marketing strategy during mergers and acquisitions. Content and SME Branding Guide and review the creation of marketing content including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, videos, and social media. Work with internal SMEs to elevate technical voices as trusted industry thought leaders. Ensure messaging is aligned with regulatory, technical, and commercial expectations.
Budget and Contract Management Own and manage the marketing budget and vendor contracts. Ensure all initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Provide quarterly performance updates to the executive team on ROI and outcomes.
Performance and Analytics Monitor and analyze campaign effectiveness using KPIs and analytics tools. Adjust strategies and campaigns based on data insights and changing market conditions. Partner with Sales to support pipeline development and sales enablement.
Internal Collaboration and Leadership Coordinate cross-functionally with Business Development, Operations, and Compliance teams to align marketing with strategic priorities. Lead internal communications on marketing updates and initiatives. Champion Metiri’s mission, vision, and values through all marketing touchpoints. Requirements:
EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience managing third-party vendors or agencies is required. B2B or
scientific/technical
marketing experience is strongly preferred. LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS N/A KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Strong project management and vendor oversight capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen editorial eye. Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, ABM, social media, SEO, email marketing, and website UX. Familiarity with HubSpot, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and related platforms. Ability to translate complex scientific content into compelling, accessible messaging. Proven ability to manage budgets and measure marketing ROI. Strategic thinker with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
