**Job Summary:** We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment used in construction and industrial settings.
**Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent. - Certification or associate degree in diesel technology or a related field is preferred. - Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Service Technician. - Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail and good time management skills. - Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
**Responsibilities:** - Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes. - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, filters, and lubricating parts. - Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance. - Keep detailed records of all service and repair work done. - Adhere to safety standards and regulations at all times. - Communicate with customers to explain repairs and maintenance work performed.
**Work Environment:** This position will require working outdoors in various weather conditions and may involve exposure to loud noises and fumes. The role also involves periodic lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
