Job Description Salary: $25-$30/hr starting Drums Instructor - Part Time - Glenview, IL
Twelve Tone Music School is looking for a charismatic and energetic instructor who can teach both group and private lessons. We are looking for someone who can teach drums mainly, but also knows beginner or intermediate level of any of these instruments
(guitar/piano/bass/voice).

Teacher Requirements:
A background in music with the ability to play drums (up to advanced level). Some experience with guitar, bass, piano is preferred, but not required. Some formal music training required; higher degree in music, education and/or performing arts a plus. Experience teaching both private lessons and group classes. Ability to follow a prewritten curriculum. Experience or familiarity with music technology that includes, but is not limited to, hooking up and connecting digital drum kits and microphones to digital devices, or learning programs to help run classes and events. Being able to learn and use our proprietary LMS systems. Past experience with electric drum kits a plus. Ability to teach a class of up to 4 students. Ability to arrange music. Work with the school's directors to prepare students for showcases and events. Willing and able to work a number of student showcases and events throughout the year. Ability to communicate effectively with all Twelve Tone Music School students, staff and parents. Reliable attendance and timeliness for all scheduled lessons. Able to motivate students and encourage progress while ensuring a friendly and outgoing creative environment. Enjoys being around children in a fun, personable and outgoing atmosphere while nurturing creative growth. Must pass a background check. Ability, at times, to lift up to 50 lbs.
