Memory Care Manager We are looking for a compassionate leader who creates meaningful experiences for both the residents and staff in our dementia care household (The Cove). The ideal candidate is someone who understands the challenges living with dementia, leads by example, maintains a welcoming and encouraging environment, and builds relationships with the staff, residents and their families. The leader we are seeking: · Develops a personalized approach to care and programming. · Is responsible for assisting the Resident Care Director and Activities Director to create a plan of care which fully captures the individual needs of the residents. · Schedules, coordinates, and facilitates orientation and continuous education for all new staff associates in The Cove. · Collaborates with other departments to ensure the Coves needs are met. · Is actively involved in the hiring process for potential candidates to work in The Cove household. · Coordinates with outside agencies and organizations, as appropriate, to develop partnerships that enhance the resident’s experiences and programs. · In conjunction with the Resident Care Team conducts pre-move in assessments. · Coordinates and facilitates family care plan meetings. · Serves as a support group leader. · Performs other duties as needed and requested. Qualifications: · An associate’s degree is required in family, psychology, social services, recreational therapy or gerontology studies or similar fields. A bachelor’s and higher education or a license are a plus. · At least one year of memory care specific work experience. · At least one year of leadership experience. · Activity engagement and leadership is a plus. · Is proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and has talent to operate other software programs. This is a full-time position with flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. We are an equal opportunity employer.
