TDP has significant experience investing in service businesses and has completed over 1000 investment partnerships in its history. We are currently seeking Direct Bill Accounting Specialists to join our high-growth, fast-paced company. This position will report to the Revenue Manager and play a key role in onboarding and supporting acquired agencies with agency management system ("AMS") and accounting responsibilities. Desire to work at a growth-oriented business with a focus on acquisitions and integrations is highly valued. The chosen candidate will be a team player and ensure the accurate and timely processing and reconciliation of direct bill commission payments from carriers.
Job Responsibilities: Download, review, and reconcile direct bill commission statements from carriers. Work with our outsourced direct bill partner to reconcile discrepancies between cash received and carrier commission statements. Post commission entries into the agency management system (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360). Assist in preparing financial reports related to direct bill activity. Reconcile monthly carrier statements and ensure proper allocation to producers. Maintain accurate records of commission receivables Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with IT and operations to optimize system workflows. Assist in the creation of ad hoc financial analyses for agency partners. Required Criteria Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong understanding of accounting principles and commission structures. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Good verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced skills), Word, Outlook and preferably Power Point. Must be able to multi-task and meet agreed upon deadlines. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced/high-growth environment. Local to the greater Chicago area. Preferred Criteria 2+ years of accounting experience Private equity experience Proficiency in Applied EPIC and/or AMS360 Insurance industry experience Experience reconciling carrier commission statements
