Job Description Salary: TheHangarManageris responsible for the daily management, supervision, and coordination of all maintenance operations within the Repair
Stationhangar.Reporting
directly to the Director of Maintenance, this leadership role ensures all aircraft maintenance is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.In the event of a temporary absence, the Director of Maintenanceassumes theHangarManagers responsibilities.
TheHangarManagermay
delegate tasks to qualified assistants but retains overall accountability. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate all maintenance work performed within thehangar, ensuring compliance with all FAA regulations (FARs) and manufacturer specifications. Ensure adequate housing, facilities, tools, and equipment are available and properly maintained to support maintenance operations. Monitor ongoing maintenance activities and report progress or concerns to the Director of Maintenance. Assign maintenance tasks and manage technician resources to meet operational goals. Verify that maintenance forms, work orders, and documentation are completed accurately by A&P and non-certificated technicians. Maintain a clean, safe, and
organizedhangarenvironment ; enforce safety procedures and protocols. Ensure that technical data (manuals, service bulletins, FAA-approved documentation) used by the shop is current and accessible. Provide training and supervision to maintenance personnel and support ongoing development. Coordinate the proper handling, storage, and preservation of aircraft parts and articles during and after maintenance. Support quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance to ensure adequate training and staffing for upcoming maintenance work. May be assigned other duties by the Director of Maintenance or VP of Operations.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, held for at least three (3) years. Minimum of three (3) yearsof maintenance experience on large aircraft (10+ passenger seats) with an air carrier or certificated Repair Station. At least one (1) yearof experience as a maintenance inspector. Must be able to read, write, and speak
Englishproficiently. Working knowledge of FAA regulations, Part 145 Repair Station operations, and maintenance recordkeeping practices. Note: An exemption to experience requirements may be granted in writing by the President if compliant with FAR 65.83 and 145.153. Preferred Experience and Skills:
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in an MRO or aircraft maintenance setting. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and team leadership abilities. Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS) and quality assurance processes.
