Role and Responsibilities The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following: Manage the Accounts Receivable function, including overseeing collections on open invoices, as well as the application of payments received from customers. Manage a team of AR Specialists Ensure accurate and timely customer payments, daily posting of those payments, and resolution of issues that may arise. Analyze and manage customer discount opportunities, and negotiate customer terms. Analyze customer accounts and provide recommendations related to credits and/or write-offs. Run standing meetings with Sales and Operations teams to review past due receivables by locations and division. Provide weekly update of collections progress on all past due AR. Manage accuracy of AR Aging, including timely application of payments on account. Prepare journal entries and general ledger reconciliations for month-end and annual year-end audit, including bad debt, employee AR, and other Accounts Receivable related general ledger accounts. Process transactions between MSS and other commonly owned entities. Ensure compliance with various customer portals. Oversee processing of customer credit card payments as needed. Oversee processing of monthly customer account balance statements. Oversee MSS Certificates of Insurance provided to customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and resolve any outstanding items related to accounts receivable. Assist in implementing and enforcing proper financial controls throughout the department. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting regulations, and financial controls. Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, promoting professional growth and development. Stay up to date with industry trends, changes in accounting standards, and best practices in accounts payable function. Assist in supervising, hiring, training, evaluating, and developing accounts payable staff. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Construction Accounting experience is preferred. Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or similar role, with a focus on accounts receivable. Prior experience managing a team. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP. Experience working with financial software and ERP systems, Viewpoint Vista preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent time management skills, coupled with ability to prioritize duties. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements .
