Job Description Salary: Starting at $15.00 Pay Rate: Starting at $15.00 per hour (Also includes some Park District Facility/Program Usage Benefits)
Hours: Monday through Friday 3:45pm-8:00pm
JOB SUMMARY Under the general supervision of the Aquatics Coordinator, is responsible for the safety, instruction and training of children participating in the Elk Grove Swim Team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Conduct daily practices based on a training regiment as directed by the Head Swim Team Coach. Recommend swimmers placement in swim meets. Assist in preparing meet line-ups. Instruction of swimming skills needed for team participation. Attend meets at direction of Head Swim Team Coach. Swipe in and out daily and provide Head Swim Team Coach with timesheet for meets. Attend meets at direction of Head Swim Team Coach. Performs the job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safety rules. Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks. Maintain clean areas after daily practices and meets. Continue professional development through continuing education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Flexibility, communication skills and patience. Ability to work cooperatively in teams and with others. Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions. Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Safety Training for Swim Coaches.
Previous competitive swimming experience.
