General Description The Revenue Cycle Director is responsible for the direction and leadership of all operational aspects of Revenue Cycle process, ensuring efficient, effective and compliant billing, collections and revenue generation. This role involves strategic planning, process improvement and team leadership to optimize revenue cycle performance, support the financial health of the organization and drive a culture of positivity, performance and achievement. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Oversee revenue cycle operational processes, including insurance verification, authorization, coding, charge capture, billing/claim submission, payment posting and collections. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and payor-specific guidelines. Identify innovative strategies to optimize revenue cycle processes and develop and implement revenue cycle initiatives and best practices through policy/procedure and technology. Continuously monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas of improvement for revenue cycle key performance indicators, e.g. charge lag, denial rate, collection rate, days in aging. Routinely prepare and present reports on revenue cycle performance and health to senior leadership. Provide strong daily support of revenue cycle functional leaders to manage operational workflows. Lead and mentor RCM team by providing regular feedback and coaching, proactively addressing areas that need improvement, acknowledging successes and participating in performance reviews. Participate in developing and managing departmental budget and vendor relationships and contracts. Collaborate with other departments to support cross-departmental alignment. Nurture communication and relationships with clinical teams and other functional areas within the organization. Manage cross-functional Revenue Cycle projects. Represent Revenue Cycle in cross-departmental projects. Manage or assist with special projects as needed. Escalate compliance concerns and strange scenarios to senior management. Remain current on Medulla policies, procedures and protocols. Attend relevant trainings and events aimed at promoting success within the position. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of experience in health care revenue cycle management or related relevant industry experience 5+ years in

leadership/management

role Extensive knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management principles and practices Proficiency in PM/EHR, RCM systems and technologies Expert understanding of healthcare regulations and payor requirements Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance or related field Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with value-based care models and alternative payment methodologies Experience with Platinum and ChiroTouch EHR software Experience with Waystar Job Competencies Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Achievement and solution-oriented Ability to capture high-level, pertinent details and deliver into concise management reports Ability to provide clear, actionable directions to team and elicit specific results
