We are seeking a reliable and skilled Field Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on carpentry experience and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and craftsmanship.
The Field Carpenter will support the on-site construction team in a variety of carpentry tasks, working under the direction of the Lead Carpenter and Project Manager. This role involves framing, finish carpentry, material handling, and job site upkeep. A background in historical renovation is a plus. Compensation:
$35 hourly Responsibilities:
Perform carpentry tasks including framing, trim, installation of windows/doors, siding, and flooring. Support Lead Carpenter and crew with day-to-day site operations. Assist in unloading, staging, and organizing materials. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Use hand and power tools with proper safety and care. Follow directions from the Lead Carpenter and adapt to evolving site conditions. Wear required PPE and follow all site safety protocols. Occasionally, interface with subcontractors and suppliers under supervision. Qualifications:
Experience:
5+ years of experience in commercial carpentry. Historical renovation experience is a plus. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Licenses/Certifications:
Driver’s License (Required), OSHA 10 Card (Preferred).
Skills: Proficiency in using standard carpentry tools and techniques. Ability to read basic construction drawings and measurements. Strong attention to detail and quality. Reliability and willingness to work in a team environment. Ability to lift heavy materials and work on ladders or scaffolding as needed.
