Overview:
United One Communications is recruiting for a JRSS Network Engineer to join our team based in Scott, AFB.
Job Responsibilities: Responsible for overall network engineering support for customer programs, including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the DISA Enterprise Network. Solve routine technical problems following established procedures and policies. Work directly with the engineering team to provide specifications for network architecture, evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and perform needs assessments. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related issues through monitoring, testing, and servicing network equipment. Minimum Qualifications: Junior Level: Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN/WAN maintenance, and performance management. Mid-Level: Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN/WAN maintenance, and performance management. Senior Level: Must have a minimum of 5 plus years of experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN/WAN maintenance, and performance management. Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, and Optical Switching. General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP. Ability to work in a shift work environment as this is a 24/7 operation.
