Counter/Warehouse

position available in Danville, IL. We seek a career-minded person looking for a long-term position with a great company.

Candidates must: Pass a pre-employment background check and drug testing. Be available to work from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Principal Accountabilities: Enter customer orders face-to-face, over the phone, or electronically. Pulls customer orders and prepares them for pick-up or delivery. Calls vendors for product pricing and availability. Places purchase orders with vendors for special order materials. Follows up with customers and vendors on open orders. Communicate customer and order issues with salesmen and management. Communicates with delivery drivers about orders that need to be delivered. Assists customers in determining product needs. Research products and repair parts for customers. Participates in company and vendor product training in person and electronically. Processes customer returns and communicates with vendors to obtain return approvals. Restock, rotate, and face counter inventory shelving. Efficient and effective loading and unloading of trucks. Inspects materials according to instructions and report damaged goods. Process inbound materials to the warehouse. Compares quantities shown on packing slips or manifests with actual items received. Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to sequences, such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Ensures materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouse. Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and places in the proper container or assigned area. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by keeping racks, shelves, pallet area, workstations and counter area neat; maintaining a clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. General housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash. Serves customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints Enhances the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests Perform other duties as requested.

Minimum

Education/Experience

Required: High School Diploma or its equivalent Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Critical thinker, using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions Mathematical reasoning- the ability to choose the correct method or formulas to solve the problem Ability to learn Eclipse software Must be very detail-oriented and focused on accuracy Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines Must have strong interpersonal communication skills Must maintain a patient and professional attitude while managing a busy workload Strong organizational skills are required Must be able to determine and prioritize workload

Working Conditions: Normal warehouse environment Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock. Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
