Must be able to work onsite five days a week. The Network Security Research Scientist will develop innovative solutions to solve hard, real-world networking problems. You’ll take responsibility to accomplish deliverables within a small team setting of fellow engineers and conduct cutting edge network research. Qualifications
Required:
2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree Python development Hands-on development experience in either cybersecurity, network protocols, and/or network engineering Must have knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of IP and routing technologies. Modern development practices and toolsets (Git, subversion, CI/CD toolchains) Experience running docker containers Experience with networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.) Experience with Wireshark Experience with configuring L2/L3 network devices and their consoles (Cisco IOS, FRR etc.) A passion to learn something new every day and to stay up-to-date with developments in your field Adept at independent problem-solving and comfortable with a general approach of taking initiative to find and develop solutions U.S Citizenship Active Secret Clerance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI Desired: Expertise in one or more: C, C++, and/or Python Ability to grasp the “big picture” and see beyond specific problems Network emulation frameworks including CORE, EMANE, and/or MiniNet Experience with threat intelligence research Advanced network protocols understanding CCNA/CCNP Experience working with Ansible A current TS/SCI Clearance Peraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
