Summary / Objective Perform all necessary functions below to keep inbound/outbound shipments moving efficiently and accurately. Essential Functions Review received goods against packing lists. Performs receiving inspection according to procedures. Receive incoming shipments in ERP system. Attaches identifying tags or labels to all inbound materials and assist with inventory control. Document damaged and/or defective products Identify priority shipments and route products with utmost care. Prepare, label and stage outgoing shipments and 'will call' customer pickups. Complete shipping documentation in either ERP system, UPS, or FedEx. Follow all shipping regulations and special instructions for hazardous goods. Control inventory of necessary shipping materials and keep area organized and safe. Lift up to 75 lbs. as needed using safe technique. Ability to safely operate a forklift truck. Ability to safely use power tools such as drill, saw, staple and nail guns. Perform cycle count processes and physical inventory processes. Work Environment Generally working alone, requesting help as needed. Some exposure to loading dock environment temperature variations. Employees are expected to maintain the highest levels of personal safety through the use of PPE and ensuring that any employee entering specific work areas wear PPE appropriate to the area. Physical Demands Employees will be expected to be able to move large packages, and regularly lift loads weighing 75 pounds or more. Employees must be able to stand, walk and use hands for extended periods of time. Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 2 years of shipping and receiving experience. UPS WorldShip and Fed-Ex Ship Manager experience. Intermediate computer skills Experience operating a fork truck. Basic math and phone skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting sales and service staff. Basic OSHA knowledge. Hazmat certification for shipping. Travel / Work Authorization No travel is required
