POSITION: EDUCATIONAL PARAPROFESSIONAL FULL TIME (2025 to 2026 School Year) PARAPROFESSIONAL 60 credit hours, 1 year working with children SENIOR PARAPROFESSIONALS: BACHELORS DEGREE STATUS: Full Time 40 hours a week, 7:30am-4pm SALARY RANGE:
$29,461-$38,305 LOCATION: ST. LOUIS, MO QUALIFICATIONS: 60 credit hours earned from accredited school in a related field, must provide documentation One year of experience working with children with special needs and behavior disorders is preferred Ability to work as a member of an educational team in a fast-paced school setting. Experience with behaviors as this person will be in a self contained classroom. REPORTS TO: Counseling Supervisor POSITION SUMMARY: The Paraprofessional works one on one or in small groups within the classroom setting to provide immediate support and reinforcement to students struggling to successfully make it through the school day. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides behavioral support to students either in a one on one or in small groups to encourage positive behaviors. Assist with emotional dysregulation through verbal de-escalation and other hands-off techniques.
