Hybrid 3 days in office in Laguna Hills, CA (Tues-Thurs) 2 days work from home (Mon & Fri) Job Summary: The Product Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the commercial hand-off process, product setup, packaging development, and sample coordination through new product launches. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Design, Packaging, Sourcing, and Sales Ops to ensure seamless execution from concept through commercialization. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Transactional (50%) Receive final spec packs from NPI/Design, creating new SKUs in ERP/PLM with accurate attributes (UoM, HTS, packaging details, country-of-origin, HS codes). Assign lifecycle codes, product line, and collection tags. Issue business-award letters and PO forecasts to factories, ensuring NDA and social-audit certificates are in place. Set up new supplier records in ERP, including banking, INCOTERM, lead-time, and capacity details. Initiate pre-production checklists covering tooling readiness, timelines, and sample delivery. Coordinate packaging dielines, copy submissions, approvals, and manage translations, UPC/EAN, and regulatory marks. Evaluate and approve final color-accurate packaging files for production. Analytical (30%) Validate quoted Bill of Materials (BOM) against comparable SKUs and standard costing models; highlight and challenge cost variances. Support e-commerce readiness by providing accurate product data (keywords, care instructions). Provide Sales with accurate price lists, MOQs, lead-time data, and high-resolution image assets. Conduct annual cost reviews or respond to significant material cost fluctuations, negotiating cost improvements. Support (20%) Track, chase, and evaluate final samples, ensuring adherence to specifications. Maintain organized storage of retain samples for QC reference, imagery, and color standards. Manage specification updates (color refreshes, packaging adjustments) through controlled Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes. Facilitate weekly "production pulse" meetings involving cross-functional teams: Sourcing, QC, Packaging, Logistics, and Sales Operations. Ensure transparent communication of sample statuses, packaging approvals, cost changes, and shipment risks. Escalate any compliance or factory capacity concerns promptly to Operations leadership. Education and Experience Profile: Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, or related field). 1–3 years' experience in product development coordination, production assistance, or merchandising within consumer products. Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems, BOM analysis, packaging workflows, and supplier coordination preferred. Required Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical capabilities. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
