FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas (DMAs), with duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. They distribute sports, entertainment, and syndicated content, and produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly, leveraging viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION WFLD Chicago Fox 32 has an immediate full-time opening for a staff photographer for our news broadcast(s). The candidate will shoot and edit spot news, feature stories, and sports, and perform LiveU and ENG microwave shots around Chicago. The ideal candidate is a high-caliber news photographer with 3-5 years' experience. A Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field is preferred. The candidate must be able to shoot and edit packages in the field and be familiar with Adobe Premiere.
The candidate must be able to lift over fifty (50) pounds of equipment, walk while carrying a tripod, batteries, and Live U backpack. Willingness to work in extreme hot/cold weather, weekends, holidays, and overnights is required. Must work well with the Assignment Desk, Writers, and Reporters. Travel and overtime are expected, with a regular 40-hour work week.
Proof of a valid driver's license is required. The candidate must work within the NABET CBA.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The pay rate/range for this role is $30.00-$46.91 per hour, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. This role is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits per applicable plans. Union employees' benefits are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
