Frost Brown Todd LLP, a national law firm with 1000+ legal and business professionals in eighteen offices, is currently searching for a full-time Lateral Recruiter to join our firm. This position plays a key role in advancing the firm’s strategic attorney recruitment efforts, focusing on sourcing, attracting, and hiring top-tier and diverse legal talent in targeted growth markets.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required due to frequent collaboration with internal colleagues, candidates, external recruiters, and firm leadership. The individual must have a positive, professional demeanor, attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent judgment to handle confidential information discreetly.
Key Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of the lateral recruiting cycle, including posting openings, sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, collecting feedback, and facilitating decision-making. Understand the duties of various attorney positions and success criteria. Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to build a robust pipeline of potential candidates and referral sources. Engage associate- and partner-level attorneys at target firms through outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn. Design targeted outreach campaigns aligned with practice area needs. Serve as a liaison between candidates and the firm, ensuring a positive hiring experience. Accurately enter candidate information into the firm’s applicant tracking system, generate reports, analyze metrics, and identify trends. Prepare recruitment communications and offer letters for candidates. Collaborate with the Lateral Recruiting Director and Manager on decision-making and follow-up tasks. Assist in assessing lateral hiring needs and attracting qualified candidates. Provide insights on market activity, candidate movement, and sourcing trends. Contribute to the firm’s recruiting brand and candidate engagement strategies. Implement DEIB initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum of three years of legal recruiting experience. Knowledge of legal employment issues. Ability to discuss legal markets, practice areas, and career paths credibly. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication. Cross-cultural awareness and understanding of unconscious bias. Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to prioritize. Discretion in handling confidential information. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Resourcefulness and creativity in sourcing solutions. Proactive, responsive, and results-oriented attitude. Professional demeanor with poise in demanding situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and database management. Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram. Financial responsibility in budgeting and tracking expenses.
