Position Summary
The Department of Music at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions.

Located in downtown Denver, we are a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), an INSIGHT into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award winner for 10 consecutive years, and the only Seal of Excelencia certified institution in Colorado. MSU Denver is the third largest higher education institution in Colorado and the only one with an open access mission, serving the most diverse undergraduate population, including many first-generation and DACA students. We are particularly interested in applicants with experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented and minoritized groups. Responsibilities Provide studio and/or classroom instruction in music Responsibilities include teaching assigned classes in person or online, preparing course materials and lesson plans, grading, providing timely feedback, addressing student questions, offering academic support as needed, maintaining office hours, and complying with university policies on student evaluation and peer observation. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Music or Bachelor's degree plus significant local recognition. Preferred Qualifications ABD or Master's degree in Music plus significant local recognition. Terms of Employment Part-time, at-will employment on a per credit hour basis, usually semester by semester. These positions are not eligible for university benefits and depend on budget and enrollment. Candidates should be prepared to teach in person on campus upon hire. Salary Based on credit hours assigned, according to university policy. Details available at:
