Freelance Media Coordinator - NBC Sports
Full-time Business Segment: NBC Sports NBCUniversal is a leading media and entertainment company, creating and distributing content across film, television, streaming, theme parks, and consumer experiences. We own major brands such as NBC, NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports, Telemundo, NBC Local Stations, Bravo, USA Network, and Peacock. We are committed to community impact, diversity, and inclusion. This is a part-time project/limited-term position lasting up to 6-12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables are completed. The role involves organizing, tracking, and managing digital content for NBC Sports' production units. The position supports 24/7 production operations at our Stamford, CT facility and remote locations, working with workflows related to content creation, documentation, and support, and collaborating with the Broadcast & Post Engineering group. Responsibilities: Ingesting camera ENG footage with appropriate LUTs Archiving production assets for easy restoration Managing daily ingestion of recorded events and cataloguing or deleting as needed Monitoring storage levels across multiple workgroups (AVID Nexis & EVS ISILON) Providing Tier 1 technical support for asset restore requests and escalating issues Distributing and retrieving content via digital delivery platforms (Media Shuttle, Dropbox, etc.) Training Production staff on file-based workflows Assisting with content delivery for on-air and playback/control rooms, onsite and remote Collaborating with Post Engineering to meet deadlines and achieve goals Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in TV Production or related field, or equivalent experience At least 2 years of experience with Avid products (Interplay, Access, Media Composer) or similar Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines Desired Characteristics: Knowledge of Asset Management systems Familiarity with video codecs Experience in a broadcast environment Excellent communication and client service skills Attention to detail, responsiveness, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of editing products (Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere/Media Encoder) Technological proficiency, self-motivation, and ability to work independently or in a team Ability to prioritize high-volume requests promptly Unrestricted work authorization in the US Must be 18 or older On-Site Requirement:
