Our firm is seeking a seasoned
Workday Technical Lead - Data Conversion Consultant
to join a
full-platform Workday implementation
for a major healthcare client based on the West Coast. This is a
100% remote contract role
set to begin in
October 2025 , with an expected duration of
12+ months . This role will be part-time, 20 hours/week.
In this role, you will serve as the
technical lead
for all
data conversion activities , playing a crucial part in ensuring accurate, efficient, and secure migration of data from legacy systems to Workday. You'll work closely with functional leads, developers, and client stakeholders to guide the strategy, execution, and validation of data throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end data conversion strategy, planning, and execution for the Workday implementation. Partner with stakeholders to identify data sources, define mapping logic, and establish data quality standards. Design and manage ETL processes using Workday's Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, and other integration tools. Develop, validate, and troubleshoot data loads across all Workday functional areas (HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, etc.). Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities from legacy systems. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance through rigorous validation and reconciliation processes. Provide leadership to junior technical resources and collaborate with functional leads throughout the project.
Qualifications:
5+ years of Workday technical experience, with a strong focus on data conversion in full-cycle implementations. Proven track record as a technical lead or senior consultant on at least one full Workday deployment, ideally within the healthcare industry. Hands-on experience with Workday EIBs, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and data transformation logic. Strong understanding of HR, Benefits, and Compensation data structures and dependencies. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced remote environment.
