Visual Merchandising Manager

The Visual Merchandising Manager directs merchandising, product flow, and display while supporting daily store operations to create an inspiring and dynamic customer experience. Role Responsibilities Customer Experience Partners with store leadership in managing product flow and visual execution, empowering the team to prioritize the customer. Approaches the customer experience proactively, focusing on in-store marketing, merchandising, and fostering a creative community to drive sales and create a compelling store environment. Mentors the team to provide a frictionless customer experience by utilizing technology; prioritizes omni-channel services to exceed customer expectations. Leadership + Team Management Promotes an inclusive environment by representing and amplifying diverse voices, actively seeking different perspectives. Sets clear objectives and expectations, coaching team members on visual presentation and business analysis to achieve sales goals. Supports the Store Brand Leader in talent onboarding and invests in internal engagement to retain a diverse team and foster growth. Uses brand resources to teach product flow and merchandising standards, developing team product knowledge tailored to the local customer. Visual + Business Operations Manages visual direction from planning to execution, aligning with company expectations, budgets, and timelines, considering individual store characteristics. Uses reporting tools to analyze store performance, identifying opportunities in product placement, outfitting, and stock levels. Plans and manages shipment processes to maximize product placement and replenishment strategies for sell-through and markdown recovery. Supports a customer-first approach by flexing schedules according to business needs and supporting operations and zone coverage. Communication + Relationships Provides feedback on product and visual presentation to Store and District Managers; shares store environment updates with photos. Maintains communication with leadership to ensure store directives and projects are completed. Fosters a development culture by providing regular feedback and supporting personal growth and succession planning. Boosts team morale through initiatives like the SPARKED Journal, employee recognition, and team-building activities. Role Qualifications Passion for the Anthropologie brand 3+ years of visual merchandising and leadership experience in retail Strong merchant skills with a proven track record of delivering financial results Experience with floor planning Demonstrated ability to develop talent Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays The Perks URBN offers comprehensive perks and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, employee discounts, retirement plans, and more.
