The Marketing & Communications Coordinator supports the strategic planning and execution of integrated marketing and communications initiatives that elevate the mission, programs, and visibility of the organization. This role plays a critical part in managing public-facing content, coordinating events and outreach, and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms. In close collaboration with the Program Director, the Coordinator develops and delivers results-driven campaigns, builds community partnerships, and showcases the organization ’s impact. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and creative communicator with strong writing skills, digital fluency, and a passion for civic engagement and community development. Marketing & Communications Strategy Develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies that support organization's goals in economic development, infrastructure, and beautification. Manage the organization's website and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook), ensuring timely, relevant, and engaging content. Create and distribute e-newsletters, press releases, blogs, and project updates that align with brand messaging. Maintain a dynamic content calendar aligned with key program milestones and public engagement opportunities. Analyze and report on marketing performance metrics to guide continuous improvement. Community Engagement & Events Coordinate and support organization's -hosted events, public meetings, and outreach activities that promote community awareness and involvement. Represent the organization at community meetings, local events, and stakeholder engagements. Foster collaborative relationships with government agencies, local businesses, media, and community organizations. Serve as a visible and consistent ambassador of the organization's brand and mission. Content & Brand Management Ensure consistency in brand messaging, voice, and visual identity across all internal and external communications. Maintain a digital asset library, including templates, logos, photography, and style guides. Collaborate with design teams and vendors to produce print and digital marketing materials. Develop presentations, talking points, and promotional collateral for use in community and stakeholder engagements. Organize and maintain a centralized library of marketing assets, including logos, imagery, templates, style guides, and archived content. Administrative & Project Support Track and report on digital engagement metrics across email and social media campaigns. Support preparation of presentations, reports, and other communications for internal and external audiences. Ensure timely execution of recurring communications, announcements, and outreach campaigns using tools such as Mailchimp and Canva. Perform additional duties as needed to support the organization's strategic priorities and program execution. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. 2–4 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or community engagement. Experience in public sector, nonprofit, or community development settings is a plus. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across digital and print platforms. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Skilled in tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress (or similar platforms). Experience managing social media accounts and website content. Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret engagement metrics and apply insights. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. Able to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Working Conditions Hybrid work schedule with regular in-office requirements for events, meetings, and community outreach. Occasional evening or weekend hours required for community events.
