The Opportunity As Vice President of Construction, you will be the national leader for execution. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee and support all office‑based project managers, drive field performance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with consistent install quality. You'll partner closely with the VP of Engineering, MEP Operations Advisor, and Director of Robotics & Field Technology to optimize sequencing, field automation, and installation strategy across all job types—from garden‑style to mid‑ and high‑rise multifamily builds. Key Responsibilities National Field Execution : Oversee field construction activities and support 11 offices with four discipline‑specific PMs each (MEP+FS); own KPIs related to schedule, labor efficiency, install quality, safety, and margin; standardize field processes and enforce quality expectations; oversee safety program. Preconstruction Alignment & Mobilization : Partner with engineering and BIM teams to ensure constructability and field install readiness; equip field teams with coordinated drawings, procurement schedules, and install plans; develop playbooks for labor deployment and site‑specific mobilization. Workforce Management & Support : Mentor, train, and hold accountable project managers, superintendents, and trade leads; align teams with a performance‑driven, ownership‑minded culture; anticipate and respond to labor force needs for fast‑moving multifamily development cycles. Innovation & Field Technology : Integrate robotics, layout automation, and BIM‑driven workflows into daily operations; leverage jobsite data to refine processes and drive continuous improvement; champion safe, efficient, and repeatable MEP installations powered by advanced tools and tech. Who You Are Required : 10+ years of leadership experience in construction or trade operations focused on MEP or specialty contracting; proven success managing multi‑market construction execution across multiple trades; experience working with developers / general contractors on multifamily or commercial projects; familiarity with BIM, layout automation, and scheduling tools; strong leadership skills and ability to drive consistent national standards; deep understanding of MEP sequencing and labor optimization. Preferred : Background in multifamily construction at scale; experience in a startup, high‑growth, or founder‑led construction environment; familiarity with robotics, prefab, or automation in MEP; Spanish proficiency. Education Preferences Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications in Construction, Project Management, or Lean / Six Sigma preferred.
