Job Summary: As a Chassis Product Engineer, you will manage the development of Supermicro chassis products, review product design and specifications, control product schedules, and ensure timely product launch and delivery. You will collaborate with various departments and teams to develop application-optimized chassis products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the product lifecycle of server chassis, including conception, specification, prototyping, tooling, and support during mass production.
Create and present chassis product roadmaps.
Collaborate with engineering teams to review specifications and designs related to mechanical, thermal, and system architecture aspects of chassis to ensure high-quality, competitive products.
Lead cross-functional teams to meet product launch deadlines and delivery schedules.
Coordinate with overseas ODM vendors on design, tooling, production ramp-up, and setup.
Work with marketing and sales teams on new chassis product launches and promotions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Material Engineering.
3+ years of experience in the server or hardware industry is preferred.
Experience in product development and management of server chassis mechanical, thermal, and system design.
Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within diverse teams.
Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
