Our Amazonia space — featuring a stunning rooftop patio, an indoor bar, and a versatile dining area — hosts a wide range of private and corporate events. We're looking for someone who can lead our event sales efforts, execute seamless guest communications, and expand our event clientele across DC. Causa (1st floor) does not hold a high volume of events, however the position will cover both spaces. Causa and Amazonia, two of DC’s premier dining destinations, are seeking a passionate, tenacious, and highly motivated Events Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for a sales-driven hospitality professional who excels at building relationships and delivering high-level guest experiences. Key Responsibilities : Client Communication : Manage inbound event inquiries with professionalism and responsiveness using Perfect Venue and OpenTable. Represent the style and service standards of Causa and Amazonia in all communications. Sales & Booking :

Convert leads into confirmed bookings. Meet or exceed monthly sales targets through commission-based performance. Outreach & Marketing : Proactively seek new event opportunities by networking with companies, local organizations, and event planners in DC. Client Experience :

Work closely with our internal team to understand our elevated hospitality style and ensure client needs are met with precision and polish. Event Coordination :

Liaise with internal departments to ensure all event logistics are handled smoothly, from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up. What We’re Looking For : Proven experience in event sales, hospitality, or a client-facing sales role. A strong understanding of elevated dining and service expectations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience using platforms like Perfect Venue and OpenTable is a plus. Self-starter with a strong work ethic, drive to meet targets, and ability to work independently. Professional, organized, and passionate about hospitality. DC market knowledge and local industry connections are a plus. Compensation : This position is commission-based with performance bonuses , offering excellent earning potential for the right person who can drive results.
