Position Overview:
As the Senior Marketing Manager at Oiselle, you will play a pivotal role in driving brand impact and revenue across owned, earned, and paid channels. This role is equal parts strategic leadership, hands-on tactical implementation/channel management, project management, and creative production. An ideal candidate is action and results-oriented and will successfully balance brand and performance marketing to drive revenue and brand equity for Oiselle. This role will have 1.5 direct reports and is required in-office in Seattle on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. Key Responsibilities: Annual Marketing Calendar : Coordinate development of Oiselle’s annual marketing calendar with Leadership Team support to meet business, channel, brand, and customer growth needs. Implement calendar as a company-wide resource for strategy and vision. Oversee calendar updates quarterly (>6 mo out) and monthly (
Monthly Marketing Strategy & Implementation:
Author and implement monthly content strategy calendar to inform marketing channel and creative production tactics, needs, and resourcing. Build calendar with business needs in mind, to drive impact and achieve program, brand, and sales KPI’s. Be accountable for timeliness, clarity, and team action. Lead monthly cross-functional meetings for planning and transparency. Marketing Program Leadership & Execution:
Grow brand sales, awareness, and loyalty via Oiselle marketing channels. Provide vision, leadership, and mentorship that inspires strategic excellence from a direct report marketing manager, and create accountability, structure, and focus that improves results and increases bandwidth. Also, own and hands-on manage select marketing programs independently end-to-end. Business Impact:
Be business-minded in all that you do. Prioritize impact and results over activity, and lead with the mindset that less, done better, is more. Collaborate with marketing and creative to optimize content, channel, and process strategies 24/7/365. Project Management & Creative Production Process:
Own creative project management process end-to-end. Be personally accountable for team process adherence, adequate scheduling, and 100% on-time delivery, with stakeholder feedback rounds taken into account. Organic Channel Management and Development: Strategically plan and execute monthly organic social channels for Oiselle. Including posting and development of assets. PR, Athlete Sponsorship, Partnerships, and Other Marketing Channel Management:
Own brand-level marketing programs, such as athlete marketing programs (elite and community), brand partnerships, public relations, media partnerships (newsletters/podcasts), etc. Identify opportunities that suit strategy and the annual/monthly calendars and manage the executional tactics through to go-live. Be accountable for impact and budget management. eCommerce Collaboration:
Work with Director of eCommerce and team to achieve traffic, acquisition, and sales requirements on Oiselle.com. Collaborate on sales event and promotions and merchandising to create a 5-star user journey and to achieve sales targets. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in marketing and project management at a consumer-facing brand or agency, in the fashion, outdoor, or active lifestyle industry. Fundamental understanding of marketing strategy, media, and consumer behavior. Willing and excited to manage strategy and be hands on managing marketing channels and content (for example, manage a social media account) Familiarity with eCommerce and DTC models as pertaining to content and marketing. Organizational style that prioritizes impact and can always find a way to simplify. Management style that naturally empowers a team through clear and actionable direction, finds it second nature to develop SOPs, plans, and documentation to aid a team. Proactive workstyle, excellent at managing up and sideways to drive progress. Has an agile workstyle to see the forest through the trees, but also see the trees themselves. Have internal drive for continuous improvement and is always learning. Exceptional communication (verbal and written), collaboration, and organizational skills. A deep passion for running and an understanding of the running community is a plus. Location requirement: This role is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week in office in the Seattle area. Relocation will not be included.
