We are seeking an experienced investment professional to lead alternative and direct investing research and execution for our growing book of nearly half a billion dollars under management. This role will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing alternative investment opportunities across private equity, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure, and direct co-investments for our HNW and UHNW family office clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Investment Research & Due Diligence Conduct comprehensive due diligence on alternative investment managers and direct investment opportunities Build detailed financial models and perform valuation analysis across multiple asset classes Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for investment committee and client meetings Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, including regular reporting to clients and families Deal Sourcing & Execution Develop and maintain relationships with fund managers, co-investment partners, and deal intermediaries Negotiate investment terms and coordinate legal documentation review Manage the end-to-end investment process from initial screening through closing Identify and evaluate direct investment opportunities alongside or independent of fund investments Client Relationship Management Present investment recommendations to family members and their advisors Translate complex investment concepts into clear, accessible presentations Customize investment strategies based on individual family objectives, liquidity needs, and risk tolerance Participate in quarterly and annual client review meetings Portfolio Management Maintain detailed records of all alternative investments and their performance Coordinate capital calls and distribution processing Assist with portfolio construction and asset allocation decisions Support annual portfolio reviews and strategic planning processes REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience 5-10 years of experience in alternative investments, institutional investing, or related field Previous experience at family offices, endowments, pension funds, or institutional asset management firms Demonstrated track record in private markets due diligence and investment execution Experience working directly with high-net-worth individuals or family clients preferred Technical Skills Advanced financial modeling and valuation capabilities Deep understanding of alternative investment structures, terms, and economics Proficiency in portfolio management systems and performance measurement Strong knowledge of regulatory and tax considerations for alternative investments Experience with structuring proprietary funds a plus Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA, or CAIA preferred Series 65 licenses required (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Personal Attributes Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented with excellent project management skills Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to build processes and systems Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential family information WHAT WE OFFER Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus.
