We’re seeking an experienced and Dynamic API Engineering Manager to lead our API Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the architecture, design, and delivery of robust and scalable secure API’s that power and products and services. This role combines hands-on engineering leadership to ensure best practices throughout the entire API life cycle and collaboration with cross functional stellar teams Responsibilities: You will develop API’s aligned with the firms strategic objectives for data distribution

Guide a team of API Engineers through project planning, prioritization and agile development practices

Ensure API’s are well documented, versioned, monitored and maintained with clear SLA’s and support processes

Applies understanding of the industry and how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives

Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems

Management responsibilities include performance appraisals, pay reviews, training and development

Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges

Provides technical guidance to employees and colleagues

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies

Qualifications: 5+ years experience working in software engineering

3+ years experience in a managerial role. Preferably as an API Engineering Manager

Hands-on experience designing, building large-scale API’s

Strong experience in design principles

You should have SQL, REST API design patterns and messaging design patterns

Java, Spring, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Snowflake and MQ is preferred

Familiarity with API Gateway technologies is preferred

Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Strong Problem Solving experience

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience

Compensation Range:The salary range for this position is between $185,000 - $225,000.Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
