Job Overview

Aligned with the missions of the Academic Resource Center and Department of Athletics, the Academic Coordinator - Men’s Basketball enhances the university’s academic support network by providing coaching to empower student-athletes and improve their academic performance. This role serves as a campus-wide liaison for student development. The Coordinator supports students in maintaining academic progress necessary for enrollment and participation in intercollegiate athletics. They act as a vital link among students, coaches, staff, faculty, and deans, ensuring high standards of educational excellence. The role requires professionalism, knowledge of NCAA Division I athletics, and interaction with students from diverse backgrounds. Work Interactions

The Coordinator is part of a team of twelve in the Academic Resource Center, reporting to the Associate Director, Student Athlete Services. Responsibilities include developing and evaluating programs for men’s basketball, collaborating with coaches and staff, and working closely with student-athletes. The role involves prioritizing academic and athletic achievement in a competitive environment. Requirements and Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in teaching, advising, counseling, or career development in higher education Experience with diverse student populations Ability to counsel students and direct them to campus resources Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel extensively Strong organizational and prioritization skills Knowledge of NCAA rules and academic expectations of a research university and Division I athletics Understanding of NCAA Division I athletics Excellent verbal and written communication skills Collaborative problem-solving skills Ethical conduct Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Work Mode and Compensation

Salary range: $47,586 - $87,558.13, depending on qualifications and experience. Application Process
