Description
We are seeking a skilled Datacenter/Cable Technician to join our team. This role requires technical proficiency in cable installation. The Technician will ensure daily workloads are completed efficiently and in compliance with company safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Install work area outlets for floor, wall jacks (CAT5e & CAT6 terminations).
Mount faceplates and surface boxes per client's labeling standards.
Build and maintain telecom closets (racks, patch panels, fiber optics, grounding).
Perform IDC connections (110/66 blocks, patch panels).
Conduct cable testing and troubleshooting (continuity, tone set, volt-ohmmeter).
Identify active voice/data circuits.
Complete all required paperwork (timesheets, work orders, change orders, etc.).
Adhere to safety and quality regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School diploma or GED.
Proficient with required tools and able to interpret blueprints and project documents.
Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral).
Must be self-motivated, professional, and team-oriented.
Capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
Ability to distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $34.00/hr.
