Pharmacy Technician III Certified Retail Specialty

Overview: The Pharmacy Technician III Certified Retail Specialty performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under limited supervision, this role maintains workflow, inventory, billing and other complex pharmacy processes. Responsibilities: Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions in order to maintain the pharmacy workflow. Works directly with pharmacy purchasing agent to maintain inventory. Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.Mentors and trains new employees to build knowledge of the job area. Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: EDUCATION:Required: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE:Required: 5 yearsLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting the role.
