The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor leads a team of pharmacy technicians that assist pharmacists and pharmacy manager. The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor oversees daily pharmacy workflow and pharmacy technician schedules to ensure the needs of the business and customer service standards are maintained and in compliance with state and federal regulations. In addition, the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor leads, supports, develops, and evaluates pharmacy technicians while upholding departmental standards. The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is responsible for employee engagement and advocating for the pharmacy technician team while supporting the Pharmacy Manager in solving complex problems. Responsibilities: Provides day-to-day supervision and coaching to ensure pharmacy technicians' responsibilities are carried out using standard operating procedures to complete daily assignments accurately and efficiently. Ensures all pharmacy functions are properly staffed to meet business and operational needs. Create and manage the daily and long-term pharmacy technician schedules and daily workflow schedule. Supports non-dispensing tasks and patient services if needed Effectively communicates with pharmacy staff and sets clear performance expectations. Enforce accountability standards. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager and HR in sourcing, hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new pharmacy technicians. Creates and implements training plans for pharmacy technicians Provides coaching and feedback on performance and conduct issues Assists Pharmacy Managers in evaluation of staff on performance competencies Performs pharmacy technician annual performance reviews Oversee and assist with daily tasks performed by Certified Lead Pharmacy Technicians Helps coordinate and participates in annual pharmacy physical inventory process Complete technician payroll approvals. Approve time off requests according to NeighborHealth and pharmacy department policies. Oversees technician registration, certification and ensures all technician licenses are renewed appropriately. Complete projects as assigned by Pharmacy Managers or Pharmacy Director. Monitoring and implementing quality controls in accordance with NeighborHealth regulations. Knowledgeable and ability to troubleshoot and assist in workflow if needed Provide coverage in daily pharmacy workflow if needed. Track, execute, and meet department KPI's and productivity levels. Communicates health center initiatives, expectations and policies Displays outstanding customer service skills when interacting with patients, outside providers, referral sources or others. Promotes a sense of "teamwork" through demonstration of self-direction and self-motivation. Solves problems independently and knows when to seek consultation. Provides leadership to other support staff on the practice team. Works cooperatively and respectfully with others at all levels of the organization. Education: High School Diploma or GED. Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required State licensure with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy required Advanced PTCB certification preferred Experience: 4-6 years of related experience 3 years of experience in team leadership or a supervisory role position Experience within the Health care industry working with health center or hospital operations Skills/Abilities: Ability to use data to evaluate outcomes required Working knowledge and experience with electronic medical record systems, performance dashboards, database products, and analysis tools Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook Must have excellent attention to detail to all areas of compliance Hourly rate: $31.50 up to $49.00 based on experience.
